About This Role

We are seeking a DC Network Engineer to join our Cloud and Infrastructure Services team in Bucharest. The individual will be responsible for developing and implementing network-level software solutions aligned with client requirements. This role involves active participation in all phases of IT projects, from requirement gathering to deployment, with a strong focus on scripting, automation, and network optimisation. The successful candidate will also contribute to transformation initiatives and technology refresh programmes aimed at enhancing service availability and performance.

What you will do

  • Participate in all stages of IT projects, including requirement definition, planning, analysis, and prioritisation
  • Develop scripts and programmes to automate tasks and support IT project delivery
  • Design and implement network-based technical solutions
  • Optimise existing platforms and architectures to meet evolving business needs
  • Provide support for transformation and technology refresh initiatives
  • Evaluate new technologies and applications for potential adoption (Proof of Concept)
  • Create documentation for software development, internal processes, and technical specifications
  • Deliver automation scripts for backup, monitoring, data transfer, and integrity verification
  • Offer consultancy during software development projects
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and actively contribute to incident investigations and risk mitigation


Who you are

  • Over 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration
  • Advanced understanding of IT systems, both hardware and software
  • Strong documentation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritise effectively
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
  • Experience in distributed and remote team environments
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to enhancing user experience
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Hands-on experience with routing protocols and scripting
  • Familiarity with Firewalls, Cisco Nexus, and F5 BigIP Load Balancers
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP Data Center, CCSE
  • Knowledge of ITIL and SOX principles
  • Strong grasp of general security principles
