Job Description

At Nokia, the Network Infrastructure (NI) business group plays a pivotal role in providing actionable insights and analytics to senior leadership. We are in the midst of an exciting transformation, building a unified data lake, automating manual analysis, and enabling predictive models to improve business outcomes.

As a Data Science Specialist, you’ll play a key role in this transformation. You will help define our digital strategy, design and implement automation, and contribute to building robust data systems. This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics who wants to grow in a global, fast-paced environment.

Location: Hybrid in Timisoara, Romania

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • As an early data science specialist in our team, you will help shape how we build our strategy and systems to fully leverage automation and AI
  • Learn about tools and systems such as Power BI and SQL by collaborating with skilled teams and accessing internal knowledge resources
  • Work closely with analysts to define and implement real-time dashboards and standardized reporting applications that drive business insights
  • Define and implement a database strategy and data model that integrates multiple data sources (e.g., ERPs, Salesforce, SAP, pCube)
  • Acquire, clean, and structure this data to maintain reliable and scalable data systems and identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets
  • Identify AI use cases relevant to business challenges. Develop, prototype, test, and implement machine learning models to address them

Key Skills And Experience

Must have:

  • Experience building and managing reports or dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Power Apps would be a plus
  • Ability to work a problem from beginning to end finding efficient and scallable solutions in PowerBI to meet the requirements
  • SQL experience
  • Experience with relational databases, including data modeling, transformation, and integration from multiple sources (PowerQuery/Star Schema principles)
  • Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and quality
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and within a team
  • Creative approach to solving business problems using data and automation

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, SAP, or other ERPs
