About The Job

As an Android Developer at Telavox, you’ll work on our companion app that empowers users to manage their communications anywhere, integrating telephony, messaging, and meetings into one seamless experience. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team of talented engineers, designers, and product managers who care deeply about quality and user experience.

You will join at an exciting time as we continue to modernize our mobile architecture and enhance the performance, usability, and reliability of our app.

Your Day-to-day Work May Include

• Developing and maintaining features using Kotlin and modern Android architecture
• Extending and updating existing backend API (Java) to make it fit for purpose as the mobile apps evolve.
• Ensuring excellent UI/UX by following Material Design and Android best practices
• Collaborating closely with neighbouring product and design teams to deliver consistent functionality.
• Participating in Play Store deployments, CI/CD workflows, and code reviews
• Continuously improving app performance and reliability
  
  

This role is based at our vibrant new office, Gjuteriet, located in Västra Hamnen, Malmö.

About You

You are a skilled and curious Android developer who thrives in collaborative environments. You love solving real user problems, care about clean, maintainable code, and enjoy shaping great mobile experiences.

Key Skills And Experience We Are Looking For

• Several years of professional software development experience, including at least a couple of years building Android apps.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin and Android app development
• Experience working with REST APIs and modern app architectures (e.g., MVVM, Jetpack)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Gradle, GitHub Actions, Fastlane)
• You understand how an Android app really ticks — from Activity and Fragment lifecycles to keeping the UI smooth and reactive using asynchronous data flows (e.g. LiveData, Coroutines, RxJava)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and solutions, and effectively onboard teammates to new concepts and approaches.
• You possess a quality mindset, understanding the importance of automated and unit tests, and showing care for the existing customer base.
• You have continuously deployed apps to Google Play Store.

• Understanding of iOS principles and cross-platform collaboration
• Experience with call-related APIs (e.g., Android Telecom API)
• Familiarity with real-time communication technologies like WebRTC or SIP
