Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer with working knowledge of iOS development to join our team in building and enhancing applications for Mobile Data Terminals (MDT) and onboard printer systems used in Taximeter operations. This role involves close collaboration with hardware vendors and Taxi backend systems to deliver robust, real-time mobility and transport solutions.

Job responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain Android applications for in-vehicle Mobile Data Terminals (MDT) and printer systems.
• Implement maps, navigation, and real-time traffic features leveraging APIs such as Google Maps, HERE, or Mapbox.
• Integrate with Taximeter and vehicle hardware via analog/digital I/O, USB, and RS232 serial communication.
• Collaborate with backend teams to ensure smooth data exchange, telemetry, and trip synchronization.
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance on embedded Android systems.
• Provide limited iOS development support for companion or driver-side applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5–8 years of professional mobile development experience, primarily on Android (Java/Kotlin).
• Working knowledge of iOS development (Swift or Objective-C)
• Proven experience in transport, taxi, ride-hailing, fleet management, or logistics applications.
• Experience integrating with hardware components using RS232 serial communication, USB, and Bluetooth protocols, and Analog/Digital I/O signals.
• Familiarity with Android Services, Foreground Tasks, and Background Processes for real-time applications.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and socket-based data exchange.
