Data Engineer

Humbility is an algorithmic cryptocurrency arbitrage trading firm specializing in DeFi and CeFi across multiple chains and exchanges. We are a market-neutral trading company that develops low-latency arbitrage trading bots in a very competitive environment.

Our highly motivated and skilled team of 35 software engineers and data analysts is passionate about solving mathematical and logical challenges. To win in a low-latency game at the microsecond level, we are constantly looking for new technological solutions and improving our infrastructure and code performance.

We are hiring a Data Engineer to join our Platform Team and help improve the backbone of our data infrastructure. If you are passionate about data processing, pipeline optimization, and system stability in a high-performance environment, we want to hear from you!

In this position, you will:

• Develop, maintain, and improve data processing pipelines for high-performance, low-latency applications.
• Optimize cost and stability for complex data workflows in our multi-cloud environment.
• Provide in-depth knowledge of technology engines and support engineers with query and workload optimization.
• Manage and deploy cloud-managed or self-managed RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL) and optimize them for peak performance.
• Manage and deploy self-managed OLAP databases, warehouses, and lakehouses (e.g., ClickHouse, Iceberg, etc.).

Technologies we use:

• Deployment and Infrastructure: Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes – basic experience with these is expected.
• Data Streaming: Kafka or similar technologies.
• Stream and Big Data Processing Engines: Kafka Connect, Spark, Flink, or equivalents.
• Data Lakehouse and Archival: Technologies like Iceberg or other modern data lakehouse solutions.

While experience with these technologies is a plus, we value candidates who are eager to learn and adapt to our stack.

We expect you to have:

• At least two years of working experience in data engineering or a related role.
• Familiarity with relational and OLAP databases, and experience in their management and optimization.
• Basic experience with Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes for deployment and infrastructure management.
• Ability to learn new concepts and tools quickly.
• Proficiency in English and Lithuanian languages.
• Availability to work on-site at our Technopolis Vilnius office.

You will stand out if you have (not required):

• Experience with cryptocurrencies and blockchain development.
• Hands-on experience with Iceberg, ClickHouse, or other modern data warehouse solutions.

Salary Range: €3,500 – €10,000 gross per month.
