Our client, the world’s #1 restaurant chain, is launching a strategic initiative to modernise its mobile application by introducing landscape mode support across key screens. This enhancement is part of a broader push to meet accessibility legislation and platform compliance requirements, ensuring the app remains inclusive, responsive, and future-proof. Engineers will work on adapting existing screens to support both vertical and horizontal orientations, improving usability for all users—including those with visual impairments or physical accessibility needs.
Your Role
Implement UI tests for existing screens with a focus on layout responsiveness and orientation handling;
Use DSL guidelines to write maintainable and consistent UI test cases;
Work with Jetpack Compose and View components in the context of UI testing;
Participate in sprint planning and effort estimation using T-shirt sizing;
Collaborate with QA and developers to reproduce and verify UI-related issues;
Maintain and refactor existing UI tests to improve stability and readability.
Your Profile
2-4 years of experience in Android development with strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose;
Solid understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Android Jetpack components;
Experience with multithreading, Coroutines, Flow, and dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger);
Knowledge of accessibility standards, adaptive layouts, and responsive design;
Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or Codemagic.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to Figma API integration and automated code generation;
Understanding of the European Accessibility Act and Google’s adaptive UI requirements;
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
