Docyt is a business automation platform that leverages AI to simplify document management, accounting, and financial operations. Our Android app helps businesses manage workflows, automate expenses, and access real-time financial insights on the go.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain features in Docyt's Android application
- Implement intuitive and responsive UIs using Jetpack Compose and traditional Android Views
- Integrate with REST APIs, AWS services, and Firebase
- Work on modules such as document scanning, banking integration, expense reporting, and real-time chat
- Write and maintain unit and UI tests to ensure high-quality code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, design, and backend to deliver robust features
Required Skills
- 2-3 years of Android development experience
- Strong command of Kotlin and working knowledge of Java
- Experience with Jetpack libraries (Compose, Navigation, CameraX, Room, ViewModel, LiveData)
- Solid understanding of MVVM architecture, Repository pattern, and Dependency Injection (Dagger/Hilt with KSP)
- Proficiency with Retrofit, OkHttp, and JSON parsing
- Hands-on experience writing tests using JUnit, Espresso, MockK, and Robolectric
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket)
- Experience in multi-module projects and Material Design principles
- Experience working with third-party messaging libraries like SendBird or Faye Chat Client would be a plus
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools like Cursor IDE or GitHub Copilot is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
