About the Company

A fast-growing hospitality group operating several successful casual dining and coffee-led brands across the UK. The business has recently signed a major national rollout deal, making this an exciting time to join a company with significant expansion plans and genuine long-term opportunities.

The Role

We are looking for a People Assistant to help build and support the group’s HR function during a period of rapid growth. This role would suit someone coming from an operations background – such as a Store or General Manager – who is passionate about people, structure, and process, and wants to take the first step into a career in HR.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage onboarding and HR administration, including contracts, compliance, and employee records

• Coordinate large-scale recruitment and induction processes for new store openings

• Support payroll data handovers and maintain HR trackers and templates

• Monitor training completion, probation reviews, and appraisals

• Support employee engagement and communication across multiple teams

• Assist in developing and implementing new systems and processes as the group scales

• Provide day-to-day administrative support to senior operations and HR leadership

About You

• Currently working in hospitality or retail management and looking to transition into HR

• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing administrative processes

• Passionate about people, culture, and team development

• Interested or currently studying towards a CIPD qualification

• Proactive, reliable, and able to handle confidential information with discretion

• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, growing business

What’s on Offer

• Up to £35,000 per year with full travel expenses covered

• Hybrid working – one day a week in the Birmingham office

• Support and funding available for professional development, including CIPD training

• Exposure to multiple brands and direct mentorship from senior leaders

• Clear career path into People Advisor or People Partner roles as the company grows
