DevOps Engineer

Title : Release Engineer

Location: Sydney and Melbourne

Roster: Hybrid ( 2–3 days/week in office)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Release Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for professionals with a strong background in DevOps and experience managing Oracle databases and CI/CD pipelines. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless release of Avaloq changes into production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute the release of Avaloq changes across environments.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline CI/CD processes.
• Maintain and optimize Oracle database deployments in production.
• Ensure system stability and performance during and after releases.
• Participate in one weekend on-call rotation per month (with time-in-lieu benefits).
• Contribute to the growth and maturity of the DevOps function within the team.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Release Engineer or DevOps Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Bamboo).
• Solid understanding of Oracle databases and SQL scripting.
• Familiarity with Avaloq or similar core banking systems is highly desirable.
• Experience with production support and on-call rotations.
