Summary
We're looking for a backend engineer with strong service/API experience, some frontend exposure, and ideally a track record of building AI/LLM features or agents.
The AI & Reporting team powers SQUIRE's data and AI capabilities, helping barbers, barber shops, and our internal teams leverage insights and automation.
We move fast, ship often, and experiment with AI in our workflows.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain scalable services and APIs in
Node.js
Bring transferable expertise from other high-level languages (
Java, Go, Python, etc.
) to influence architecture and performance decisions.
Contribute to light React frontend work (the team is backend/data/AI heavy).
Use AI-powered tools (Cursor, Claude/GPT reviewers, automated test agents) to accelerate development.
Shape our AI-first engineering culture by experimenting with new workflows and mentoring peers.
Adapt to evolving responsibilities as the platform and AI stack grow.
Requirements And Qualifications
5+ years building backend or full-stack services/APIs in a high-level language.
Strong understanding of backend architecture, distributed systems, and API design.
Willingness to work primarily in
Node.js
(experience Is Nice, Not Required).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Bonus: experience building LLM-powered features or agents.
Excellent English communication skills.
Must be based in Buenos Aires with availability for 2 onsite days (CABA office)
