Role: Founder's office AI Engineer

Please note, this role initially starts with freelancing few hours a week (flexible bandwidth). The vision is to evolve this into a core functional and strategic role as the company progresses over the coming months.

Role Scope

• Work with the Co-Founder and Chief of Product and Venture Strategy on AI/ML solutions delivery and product development roadmap.
• Translate our healthcare/MedTech use cases into solutions, prototypes, workflows, and agile iterations.
• Support creation of tech defensibility by training and evaluating models, R&D, publications, and patent applications.
• Work with customers, early adopters, and market access experts to quickly validate experiences, use cases and product-market fit.
• Consult and Engage with technical advisors to evaluate and apply software engineering best practices, security standards, and on scalable AI/ML workflows.
• Contribute as part of the Founder’s Office, gaining exposure to strategic venture-building projects.

Key skills and pre-requisites

• Strong applied AI/ML background — ability to move from research to working prototypes.
• Proficiency in Python and key ML frameworks (PyTorch / TensorFlow / Hugging Face / LangChain).
• Experience building and testing AI pipelines or products end-to-end (data prep → model → API → UI).
• Ability to evaluate model performance & output quality, not just implement algorithms.
• Comfort working with LLMs, multimodal models, and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Others).
• Understanding of data structures, version control (Git), and deployment basics (e.g., FastAPI, Streamlit, Docker).
• Hands-on mindset — prototype fast, test, iterate, and learn in startup cycles.
• Curiosity for research + bias for action — blending R&D depth with product-building pragmatism.
• Collaborative, low-ego attitude — comfortable co-building with design, product, and domain experts.

Key KPIs and Scope of the role

1. Agile Solutions/MVP Delivery – Ship early prototypes, solutions and MVPs aligned with customer use cases.
2. Applied R&D Outputs – Document experiments, contribute to technical publications, and support IP filings.
3. Defensibility – Identify and advance patentable workflow/architecture during the product cycle development
4. Customer & Expert Validation – Conduct structured interactions with customers, clinicians, and market access experts to refine solutions.
5. Best Practices Adoption – Implement and document secure, scalable, and maintainable code practices with support from venture studio advisors. AI/ML Workflow Innovation – Design and refine novel workflows that enhance product differentiation
