π Network Systems Engineer β Hybrid (Munich, Germany)

π Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension)
Are you an experienced Network Systems Engineer looking for your next long-term opportunity in a dynamic, high-tech environment? We're seeking a proactive and hands-on professional to join our team in Munich to support critical IT infrastructure across network, systems, and production environments.
This hybrid role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a global team.
π§ Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage campus Wi-Fi, routing, switching, and firewalls
- Act as the primary on-site IT contact for users and stakeholders, working closely with remote/global IT teams
- Provide hands-on support for network infrastructure, servers, client systems, and production tools
- Manage day-to-day IT operations, including provisioning, deployment, patching, and incident resolution
- Perform basic network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing) and escalate as needed
- Support and maintain Windows and Linux/Unix servers, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Participate in system monitoring, endpoint protection, and inventory control
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and support security initiatives (vulnerability remediation, endpoint management)
- Assist with IT asset management, documentation, and audit readiness for local systems
β Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3β5+ years of IT support or system administration experience in a high-tech or production environment
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching)
- Expertise with campus networking components
- Experience with Windows and Linux/Unix systems, scripting, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with endpoint security, patch management, and hardening practices
- Experience managing third-party service providers or contractors
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills (English required)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, production-sensitive environment
- Proficiency with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow), remote tools, and documentation best practices
- Bonus: Experience with factory environments, including MES, ERP, or production data systems
