Role Overview
The Designer I role focuses on individual creative contributions that support wider campaign, creative and brand objectives, seeking regular guidance from senior staff while actively contributing to short-term project milestones. They play an integral role in helping the brand express its message and values through visually impactful, consistent, and accessible creative work.
Key Job Responsibilities And Duties
- Create high-quality design assets, including graphics, layouts, typography, and imagery, to support branded campaigns and marketing initiatives, consistently following established brand guidelines.
- Contribute to the development and execution of creative concepts for campaigns, working within multidisciplinary teams to bring ideas to life.
- Apply graphic design principles such as composition, grids, color theory, and typographic hierarchy to produce effective and visually appealing campaign materials.
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback, collaborate with team members, and iterate solutions to ensure creative outputs meet project goals and brand standards.
- Participate in ideation sessions with the wider design team, sharing creative ideas and approaches for campaigns and brand expressions.
- Conduct basic research with users or stakeholders, in partnership with researchers, to identify audience needs and inform creative decisions.
- Translate technical and strategic information into intuitive, engaging design assets suitable for both digital and print contexts.
- Ensure all designs comply with accessibility, inclusivity, and brand consistency standards.
- Attend design craft community events within the Brand track and are encouraged to participate in cross-track creative activities.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
- Broad job knowledge 3 - 5 years in brand or graphic design, marketing communications, or related creative fields
- Demonstrated proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite)
- Knowledge of brand design, campaign creative, and visual storytelling
- Strong foundation in typography, layout, composition, and color theory
- Ability to translate creative briefs and technical information into effective visual concepts
- Knowledge of common digital marketing mediums and channels, including social media, motion and film, interactive experiences and UX.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong work ethic; self-directed, resourceful, and willingness to learn.
- Experience of effective collaboration with designers, copywriters and marketing/business stakeholders.
- Solution-oriented; responds proactively to feedback and direction.
- Proactive, flexible and capable of working independently as well as in a team.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Bonus points if one or more of the following:
- Event/activations/physical space experience
- Motion design experience
- Generative AI experience
- Figma knowledge
