Avertim Netherlands is currently looking for Project Management Officers (PMO) able to assist in the continuous expansion of Avertim’s consulting activities in Life Sciences & Chemicals. Located in Amsterdam-Zuid, Avertim Netherlands is a trusted partner by the largest players in the Life Sciences sector.
Context
The Project Management Officer (PMO) plays a central role in supporting and strengthening the project governance and delivery framework across the site. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and functional leads to ensure that strategic, compliance, and operational projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role combines project coordination, data-driven analysis, and stakeholder management to enable informed decision-making and drive continuous improvement in project execution across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of site and global projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and compliance requirements.
- Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, tools, templates, and best practices to ensure consistent project execution across teams.
- Monitor project performance, track milestones, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure timely delivery and budget adherence.
- Facilitate project portfolio management, including prioritization, resource planning, and risk management across multiple concurrent projects.
- Prepare and deliver reports and dashboards for senior management, providing insights on progress, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support financial management of projects, including cost tracking, forecasting, and reconciliation in collaboration with Finance and Procurement.
- Act as a central point of communication between project teams and leadership, ensuring transparency and clarity of objectives, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Identify process inefficiencies and drive initiatives for continuous improvement within the project management organization.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, cGMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements for project-related activities.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, reviews, and workshops to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing between global and local teams.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in PMO or Project Coordination within a GMP environment.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, Agile) and tools (e.g., MS Project).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex project data into actionable insights.
- Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
Conditions

- Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
- Preferably already residing in the Netherlands
