About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Python Engineer to lead backend development and contribute to building scalable, high-quality systems. While your focus will be backend, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate across the stack, occasionally contributing to frontend features.

This role combines technical leadership with a product-focused mindset — you’ll work closely with stakeholders, including the CEO, to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. You’ll rapidly prototype, iterate based on real user feedback, and take ownership of your projects in a fast-moving, experimental environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead backend development: design, implement, and maintain scalable Python systems.
• Contribute across the stack when needed, including frontend frameworks like Vue.js or React.
• Collaborate with product and leadership teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Prototype quickly, iterate based on feedback, and deliver functional systems for fast learning.
• Monitor production performance, iterate rapidly, and take ownership of technical decisions.
• Support a culture of speed and experimentation, balancing technical quality with business value.

Must Haves

• 4+ years of experience as a Senior Python backend engineer
• Strong product-focused mindset, solving real user and business problems
• Proactive, curious, and capable of seeing the bigger picture
• Ability to make quick, sound engineering decisions and adapt to change
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
• Based in Europe time zones (GMT+0 to GMT+5)
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python web frameworks like Django or FastAPI
• Early-stage startup experience
• Experience building LLM or agentic AI systems
• Frontend experience with Vue.js or React
• Leadership experience
