Position Overview:

DigiPen Institute of Technology Europe-Bilbao is seeking experienced professionals passionate about teaching and mentoring undergraduate students, with the opportunity to contribute to research and curriculum development in a growing academic environment. Successful candidates will join a collaborative team of educators dedicated to fostering excellence in education.

Employment Details:

• Contract Type: Full-time, long-term
• Start Date: January 2026
• Work Period: September to July. Vacation in August, Easter, and Christmas.
• Location: On-site classes in Bilbao campus

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver in-person instruction in undergraduate courses aligned with your expertise.
• Engage in independent or collaborative research in areas such as AI, graphics, computer vision, software engineering, education technology, applied mathematics/physics. Teaching loads may be reduced for those actively pursuing research.
• Support and guide undergraduate students in coursework, projects, and professional development.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of course content and align it with industry trends and academic standards.

Must-have Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience or research in a relevant area.
• Teaching experience.
• Ability to teach effectively in English.
• Expertise in at least one of the following areas: 
• -- Physics: Classical mechanics, optics, thermodynamics, or applied physics.
• -- Computer Science: Computer graphics, simulation software, computer vision, AI, machine learning, game development, or software engineering.
• Skilled in some of the following tools/languages:
• -- C/C++ (preferred)
• -- Python, C#
• -- Graphics APIs: OpenGL, Direct3D, Vulkan.
• -- Unity, Unreal Engine
• -- MatLab, LaTex
• -- Git, TensorFlow, SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated ability to secure external research funding.
• Proficiency in Spanish
