The Role
We are now looking for an experienced frontend or fullstack developer with excellent skills in React and a solid understanding of architecture, databases, design systems, single-page applications, and modern web development. Knowledge of Go or similar languages and GraphQL is considered a plus.
As a frontend or fullstack developer, you will work on both the frontend of our platform using React and the backend using Go. While we believe your core expertise lies in frontend development, you are eager to broaden your skills and contribute to the backend as well. You’ll collaborate closely with your squad and the wider engineering team to achieve our ambitious goals and take our platform to the next level. You will also play an important role in ensuring a high-quality product with an excellent user experience.
- Work in a squad in the engineering department, closely with other engineers, QA engineers, designers and product managers.
- Take a leading role in the Frontend Guild.
- Initiate technology upgrades needed within the guild and in time.
- Support, guide and mentor other team members.
- Take great responsibility for reviewing other team members' code to make sure it follows the internal requirements of security, performance, code clarity and readability as described in the Code Review Process.
- Take great responsibility for and represent the Engineering team in cross departmental work for example across squads (Guilds), teams (Product, Operations, Engineering) or departments (Client Services, Sales, Marketing etc) and work closely with other engineers, QA, designers and product managers.
- Suggest, initiate and execute improvements to work processes and engineering experience.
- Together with the Engineering Manager make sure the development process is properly documented and when needed initiate and implement changes to the process to improve Engineering team efficiency and quality of work.
- Design, develop and maintain a secure, responsive, cross-browser compatible and well-structured web application that follows best practices and the internal Development Guidelines.
- Implement reusable, maintainable and efficient user interface elements using React, Typescript and our Material UI-based design system, using best practices and standards.
- Develop test cases and perform unit testing.Troubleshoot and debug the application.
- Make sure the relevant system documentation is up to date, for example for onboarding new engineers.
- Stay up to date with the latest relevant trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Participate in the Product Discovery-process.

Qualifications
- Master or bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
- At least five years of work experience as a developer, and at least one year working with React.
- Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work in an international environment.
