Summary of the department;

Amadeus Airport Management System (AMS) R&D organization is responsible for the development and delivery of state-of-the-art Airport Management Solutions, which includes - Airport operations system, Resource management, Passenger Processing Systems, Digital Display Systems etc. These cloud-based solutions / products are used by Airports for their day-to-day operations.

At AMS Istanbul, we are extending our existing Digital Display Systems(DDS) also known as Flight Information Display Systems(FIDS) engineering team to work on development, delivery and support of critical roadmap features. To continue in this journey, we are looking for smart, flexible, and world-class engineers to works very closely with global teams in the development and delivery with direct benefit to the end customers - the Airports.

In this role you'll find a chance to;

• Analyse specifications:
• Define user requirements for the development of new (or upgrade of existing) software solutions.
• Design systems and code:
• Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
• Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.
• Develop software according to Amadeus standards.
• Model, design and implement databases.
• Test and maintain the software:
• Conduct unit, package and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.
• Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.
• Support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst
• Document your work:
• Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.
  
  

About the ideal candidate;

• Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of professional programming experience in web development.
• Solid experience in JAVA, JEE, and JUnit.
• Proficient in Spring Framework and/or Spring Boot, Hibernate.
• Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue, Angular, Electron, TypeScript…).
• Skilled in unit testing using JUnit, Mockito, Jest, Jasmine.
• Experienced in developing and consuming RESTful APIs, JSON, XML.
• Familiarity with JEE application servers.
• Knowledge of application security, databases, and cloud systems.
• Advanced written and oral English communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.
