The Backend Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems to power the firm’s fintech infrastructure. The role involves building APIs, managing databases, and deploying cloud-native applications, with a hands-on approach to development and experimentation.
Expectations
- 5+ years of commercial experience with .NET / C# development.
- Strong experience with ASP.NET MVC / .NET Core.
- Proven hands-on experience with Umbraco or Kentico CMS.
- Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases. Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of software design patterns, OOP principles, and best coding practices.
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher — ability to communicate directly with international clients.
- Design, develop, and maintain .NET-based web applications and CMS solutions (Umbraco or Kentico).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Optimize application performance and ensure high scalability and security.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs when needed.
