Job Description
Are you a game programming or engineering student looking for a part-time job that includes prototyping and projects with short lead times? Then look no further, Sony in Lund is currently recruiting programming students that are creative, eager to learn and comfortable in pursuing smaller tasks independently.
Your profile
You are a curious programming student with very good knowledge of Unreal Engine and/or Unity and previous experience of writing code in C++/C# and working with Blueprints. Your role will include experimenting with concepts for interactive experiences, creating prototypes within Unreal Engine and/or Unity and evaluating them.
The role will allow for creative independence, giving you the freedom to realize your own ideas and find your own approach to solving problems. The role implies familiarity with working with hardware and performing tasks such as swapping out PC components, recalibrating sensors, and rerouting cables (requires physical testing).
Who We Are - Sony Advanced Content Creation Team
You will be working in a close-knit multi-disciplinary team consisting of 3D artists, game programmers and engineers creating immersive interactive experiences based on the latest sensor and display technologies.
Our team develops both virtual and interactive experiences for a wide range of environments such as 360-degree projection rooms, large-scale LED and projection walls as well as VR, AR and MR headsets and smartphones. Some of our experiences can be seen in public spaces and are frequently used to promote some of Sony Pictures’ most well-known IPs in theaters as well as during red-carpet events.
In addition to this, the team is also responsible for building and exploring use cases for new technology, that bridges the physical and digital worlds, into the “Metaverse”, in collaboration with our colleagues from R&D in Tokyo.

The position can span across summer/winter breaks and continue as part-time employment during semesters depending on your availability. Since you are a full-time student, we are open to discussing a flexible workload and schedule to ensure your studies are not affected.
