You’ll be joining at a pivotal moment, shaping the future where machinery, robotics, and software come together to deliver game-changing value for customers.

Job: Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll join a newly formed and growing team shaping the future of digital agriculture by developing a cloud-based platform powering real-time insights, predictive analytics, and smarter operations across a global customer base.

We are looking for a more backend-focused Engineer coming from Java but with experience in frontend in either Angular or React. An overview of your role includes:

  • Design and build modern, scalable web applications using Angular (frontend) and Spring Boot (backend).
  • Maintain and enhance a microservices architecture deployed on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Collaborate with product owners, designers, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality features from concept to production.
  • Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure DevOps, Key Vault, and IoT Hub.
  • Uphold code quality through automated testing, peer reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous improvement using SonarQube and Aikido.
  • Monitor, optimise, and troubleshoot production systems to ensure performance, reliability, and uptime.

What we’re seeking for in candidates?

  • Proven experience in Java (Spring Boot) and modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or React (although can look at a backend engineer)
  • Strong background in cloud-native development, including Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and any cloud services
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and CI/CD best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with a focus on clean code and continuous improvement.
  • Passion for building sustainable, high-impact technology that contributes to real-world solutions.

You’ll join one of the most exciting companies to land in Belfast and something different outside the norm!
