Software Engineer – iOS (Remote, 6-Month Contract)

We’re looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to join a leading global social media and community-driven platform — a place where millions of users come to share stories, ideas, and conversations every day. This is a fully remote 6-month contract opportunity open to talent across the UK or EMEA region.

You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineering teams to build innovative features and deliver exceptional app experiences at scale. What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy features for a large-scale iOS application using Swift and UIKit.
• Work cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and engineers to align technical execution with business goals.
• Participate in code reviews, design evaluations, and contribute to improving development standards and workflows.
• Implement efficient, maintainable code with strong testing and CI/CD practices.
• Help mentor junior engineers and foster technical growth across the team.
• Continuously explore new methods, frameworks, and tools to enhance performance and scalability.

Who You Are

• 6+ years of hands-on professional experience building user-facing native iOS applications.
• Deep proficiency with Swift and UIKit.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, testing, and deployment in large-scale environments.
• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
• Familiarity with APIs (REST or GraphQL) and app data handling.
• Organized, communicative, and effective in fully remote collaborations.
• Experience with other languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is a plus.
• Self-directed, innovative, and passionate about building experiences for millions of users.

Nice to Have

• SwiftUI experience
• GraphQL API knowledge
• Familiarity with A/B testing and analytics for mobile apps
• Exposure to scalable mobile architectures and large data environments
