What You'll Be Doing

We are looking for an experienced Product Security Engineer to join our product security team. In this role, you will be implementing and maintaining security measures that protect our products from vulnerabilities and threats. You will collaborate closely with the product development teams to integrate the best security practices into the software development process as well as conduct security assessments, code reviews, and vulnerability testing. By using security tools and methodologies together with your skill and experience, you will also actively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring that products are secure, meet business objectives and comply with industry standards and regulations.

Your other main tasks and responsibilities include:

• Conducting regular security assessments, including static and dynamic application security testing (SAST and DAST), to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in software products
• Performing thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to secure coding standards and identify potential security flaws before deployment
• Triaging vulnerability reports from both internal and third-party sources
• Engaging in threat modeling exercises to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities in software architecture and design, providing recommendations for mitigation
• Assisting in the investigation and response to security incidents related to software products, analyzing the root cause and recommending corrective actions
• Evaluating, implementing, and managing security tools and technologies that enhance the security posture of software applications
• Providing training and guidance to the development teams and other stakeholders on secure coding practices, security tools, and emerging threats to foster a culture of security awareness in the product development lifecycle

This is a permanent, full-time role where you will be part of a centralized team of security professionals and take part in information security on-call activities from time to time. At Accountor Software we embrace a flexible hybrid model, allowing you to balance collaboration at the office with the freedom to work remotely. Our team works in a hybrid way visiting the Espoo or Tampere office (depending on your location) a few times a week, so we hope to see you there as well.

What We Are Looking For

We’re looking for a technically strong product security expert who thrives in cross-functional teams and who can independently drive security tasks end-to-end. To succeed in this position, we are looking for an experienced security professional who has:

• Several years of experience in security or software development roles, with a strong focus on product or application security.
• Proficiency in secure coding practices, application security testing tools, and vulnerability management.
• Solid experience in independently implementing technical security measures in software products, executing security assessments, conducting code reviews, and supporting incident response efforts.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in English and Finnish
