Role Description


We’re looking for a talented Junior Quantitative Analyst to join our Rome office and work side-by-side with our team of expert quants, tackling exciting challenges in sports analytics.


As a Junior Quantitative Analyst, you will work closely with our Lead Quantitative Analyst on researching, developing, and implementing innovative algorithms that compile odds for various sports. You will use your quantitative analysis skills to provide accurate and up-to-date odds to our customers.

You will also delve into the realm of customer analytics. By exploring predictive models, you will uncover valuable insights that will guide our strategic decision-making process.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on ad-hoc analyses, generating insightful reports for both our department and the wider organization. Your findings will contribute to a data-driven culture, fostering collaboration and innovation across all teams.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with the Lead Quantitative Analyst to research, develop, and productionize new algorithms for odds compilation across various sports
  • Conduct research on predictive models for customer analytics, extracting valuable insights to drive strategic decision-making
  • Generate ad-hoc analyses and reports that provide actionable recommendations for the department and the organization as a whole
  • Embrace opportunities to enhance your understanding of sports and software engineering practices, continually expanding your skill set


What we’re looking for

  • A degree in a quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or equivalent (Masters level is a strong plus)
  • Strong knowledge of probability theory, stochastic processes, numerical methods, and statistics.
  • Exposure to at least one OO programming language (Java, C#, C++, Scala, Python).
  • Analytically minded, able to understand and overcome technically complex challenges.
  • Interested in sports and competitive games
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

Bonus points if you have:

  • Proficiency in Java and Python
  • Exposure to SQL querying
