Job Description Summary

  • The Advanced Lead Engineer - Testing demonstrates accountability for GE engine test technical program management.
  • Candidate will drive assembly and test readiness by interfacing with engineering to define requirements.
  • Candidate will work with assembly and instrumentation team to define hardware need dates and identify critical path activities.
  • Candidate will work with the test team to define test execution needs given specific test requirements. Job Description
  • Own the overall schedule of assembly, instrumentation and test for a given engine test vehicle, work with supply chain and engineering counterparts to resolve problems during all phases of the engine test process.
  • Ensure compliance to the GE Aviation Engineering Handbook to drive flawless assembly and test execution; drive engine tollgate reviews to ensure requirements are in place and risks to program are understood
  • Coordinate with engineering and supply chain teams to ensure requirements are in place and understood
  • Communicate with leadership on status of test vehicle(s), escalating issues where needed
  • Engage broad engineering team to resolve issues as needed
  • Participate and present or review in technical and program reviews
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects is consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of some years of experience in Engineering)
  • Minimum experience 4 years

  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
