These business units could not be successful without strong and reliable foundation. The core platform team in our General business unit provides the technical backbone that supports not only our organization but also our colleagues and clients worldwide. We are now looking for a Network Engineer to join the IaaS team.

What You Will Do

To continue delivering excellence, we are expanding our IaaS team and are excited to welcome a skilled and motivated Network/Infrastructure Engineer

You’ll be part of a small, highly skilled team alongside Tommy and Dave, side-by-side with our PaaS (DevOps) team. Your work will directly affect the infrastructure that powers our global operations. With full ownership over your work, you’ll have the opportunity to not only manage and optimize our network but also explore and lead projects that extend beyond the networking domain, such as virtualization, automation, and system-oriented initiatives.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Work on our global network infrastructure, spanning our own data centers in the Netherlands (5), Dallas, Singapore, and Frankfurt. You’ll ensure high availability, scalability, and security for our networks.
  • With 100% freedom to pick up projects that interest you, you’ll have the chance to dive into areas like virtualization (VMware), hardware migrations, and platform decisions, or even explore new technologies that can enhance our infrastructure.
  • Contribute in refreshing and modernizing our server and network hardware, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve.
  • Your work will directly impact CM.com’s ability to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions to clients worldwide, making you a key player in our mission to connect businesses and customers.
  • As part of a small team, you’ll have the autonomy to make critical decisions, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement solutions that have a tangible impact on the business.

Additionally, you ideally have

  • Hands-on experience in complex network environments, with a strong understanding of routing, switching protocols, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
  • Familiar with network automation practices. Knowledge or experience with Terraform and Ansible is a strong plus.
  • Strong Troubleshooting & Problem Solving skills, capable of diagnosing complex issues and implementing effective, long-term solutions.
  • Fluent in English, as we operate in an international and multicultural environment. Dutch is a plus.
