Senior Product Owner, Marketplace - Seller Experience
We’re looking for a Senior Product Owner to take ownership of key products that shape the seller journey at eMAG. This includes the landing pages, onboarding and post-onboarding flows, the seller dashboard, and the seller profile, all essential components in helping sellers join, understand, and grow their business on our platform.
In this role, you'll work closely with multiple engineering teams across a microservices-based ecosystem, ensuring that product decisions are well-coordinated, user needs are clearly translated into stories, and delivery happens smoothly across teams. You'll be hands-on throughout the process, balancing clarity, structure, and flexibility to keep work moving and teams aligned.

If you’ve worked with KYC/KYB, AML processes, or other regulated flows, that’s a big plus, several of the journeys you’ll own touch on these areas. Requirements
Experience and Background
- 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar delivery-focused role (e.g., Technical Product Manager or Business Analyst with ownership of delivery).
- Proven track record of managing end-to-end delivery of digital products in an agile, multi-team environment.
- Experience working in microservices-based ecosystems, coordinating multiple engineering teams and managing technical dependencies.
- Exposure to APIs, onboarding or CRM platforms, ideally across more than one of these domains.
- Understanding of B2B or marketplace dynamics, preferably within an eCommerce or SaaS platform.
- Familiarity with KYC/KYB, AML, or other verification and compliance flows is a strong plus.
- Skilled at writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintaining a clear, prioritized backlog.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, integrations, and backend system communication (comfortable reading API specs and discussing system design).
- Experience collaborating with multiple engineering teams to align delivery across services and manage interdependencies.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, Figma and similar collaboration tools.
- Clear, structured thinker able to break complex systems into MVPs and incremental deliverables.
- Excellent prioritization skills: able to distinguish between urgency, value, and effort.
- Data-informed mindset; comfortable using insights (quantitative and qualitative) to guide decisions.
- Hands-on approach to execution: ensures stories are ready for development and blockers are resolved quickly.
- Comfortable working across multiple domains, managing technical constraints and stakeholder alignment.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Romanian, with the ability to adapt between technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experienced in facilitating agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Strong collaboration skills when working with engineering, UX/design, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to bring structure and clarity in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
- Experience in seller or vendor-facing tools, onboarding, or educational/self-service platforms.
- Familiarity with user segmentation, permissioning, and personalization features.
- Knowledge of API documentation standards (Swagger, Stoplight, or similar).
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for seller-facing surfaces including landing pages, onboarding and post-onboarding flows, the seller dashboard, and seller profile.
- Define, prioritize, and maintain a clear product backlog aligned with seller needs and platform objectives.
- Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to coordinate delivery across microservices, manage dependencies, and ensure smooth integration between systems.
- Partner with UX and design to create simple, consistent, and performant experiences for sellers throughout their journey.
- Manage and refine API requirements in collaboration with backend teams, ensuring endpoints are efficient, well-documented, and scalable.
- Lead delivery discussions, clarify requirements, and ensure user stories are ready and unblocked during sprint execution.
- Work closely with stakeholders such as Seller Support, Commercial, Compliance, and Marketing to align business needs with technical feasibility.
- Monitor feature performance, adoption, and seller feedback to drive continuous iteration and improvement.
- Ensure clear, structured documentation and alignment across all stages of delivery.
The Senior Product Owner – Seller Experience will be evaluated based on impact, delivery consistency, and quality of collaboration.
