This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Backend Engineer (Golang) in the European Union.

As a Backend Engineer (Golang), you will join a highly collaborative software team focused on building scalable, API-first, and blockchain-integrated products. You will contribute to the architectural design, develop robust backend services, and ensure high performance and security across multiple systems. Working closely with product, infrastructure, and smart contract teams, you will maintain and improve cloud-based services handling large-scale data and transactions. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work with Go, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and cloud infrastructure, while contributing to the evolution of a sophisticated Web3 ecosystem. The environment is remote-friendly, fast-paced, and encourages proactive ownership, continuous learning, and innovation.

Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Golang backend services including APIs, data aggregators, and blockchain transaction components
  • Participate in architectural decisions and define technical strategy for scalable, high-availability systems
  • Implement automated testing, CI/CD processes, and conduct thorough code reviews
  • Ensure seamless inter-service communication, minimal downtime, and robust recovery processes
  • Maintain strict adherence to software security standards and compliance frameworks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate technical challenges and roadmap priorities
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements to platform performance and engineering practices


Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional backend development experience
  • Minimum 1 year of Golang programming experience in a production environment
  • Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software deployment practices
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL and REST API development
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Curiosity, pragmatism, and ownership mentality to deliver production-quality solutions
  • Interest or experience in Web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrency


Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of staking, DeFi protocols, and blockchain networks
  • Experience working in certified environments (SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA)
  • Living near Paris or London
