What Responsibilities Information Security Specialist Takes?

• Manage and optimize firewall rules and network security policies.
• Define and monitor access control policies on proxy and web security gateways.
• Configure and tune Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules, and analyze web application attack attempts.
• Manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, perform incident analysis and follow up on violations.
• Analyze alerts on Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) platforms and coordinatecontainment and eradication processes.
• Administer Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions, control privileged accounts and access workflows.
• Monitor DDoS protection systems, detect attacks, and execute mitigation procedures.
• Collect and correlate logs within the SIEM platform, and develop correlation rules and alerts.
• Actively participate in Incident Response processes — perform log analysis, root cause investigation, containment, and recovery actions.
• Integrate various security systems (syslog, APIs, threat intelligence feeds) to enhance visibility.
• Develop playbooks and automation workflows for SOAR platforms.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, procedures, and continuous improvement reports for security operations.

What BtcTurk | Teknoloji Expects from You?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Security Operations or SOC environments.
• Hands-on experience with Firewall, WAF, Proxy, DLP, EDR, and PAM technologies.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, VPN, and SSL/TLS.
• Experience with SIEM platforms for log analysis, correlation rule creation, and alert tuning.
• Practical knowledge of Incident Response processes. (detection, analysis, containment, eradication, recovery)
• Basic scripting/programming skills. (PowerShell, Bash, or Python preferred)
• Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in reading and writing technical English.
