Information Security Engineer - Dubai, Full Time


Our client, a leading Tech organization in Dubai, are looking to recruit an Information Security Engineer to join their team. As an Information Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security systems to safeguard our clients’ networks and systems. This role ensures compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements while promoting cybersecurity awareness across the organization.


Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain security solutions (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection, endpoint protection).

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and audits.
  • Manage and respond to security incidents with detailed analyses and recommendations.
  • Work with IT and DevOps to integrate security best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to standards like ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, PCI DSS, and SOC 2.
  • Create and enforce policies, controls, and procedures for compliance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and coordinate audits.
  • Collaborate with auditors and customers on certifications.
  • Develop and deliver security training programs.
  • Create educational materials to improve employee security practices.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats and technologies, sharing insights as needed.
  • Advise on security requirements for projects.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure robust security measures.
  • Communicate security risks and practices effectively to non-technical stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in information security engineering, with experience leading PCI compliance efforts.
  • Certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) preferred.
  • Expertise in AWS cloud security and modern Java applications (SpringBoot).
  • Front-end development experience (React, Angular, Next.js).
  • Proficient with security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, encryption, and network systems.
  • Analytical mindset, communication skills, and attention to detail.
