Akkodis is partnered with one of Canada's leading Banks to recruit several Android Developers to join an innovative digital team focused on developing one of the country's most used mobile banking and loyalty apps.

As part of the mobile development team, you'll work on new feature development, bug fixes, and making the app faster, more secure, and easier to use. What You’ll Do

• Develop elegant, scalable Android solutions using Kotlin and Java
• Tackle complex technical challenges with modern frameworks and design patterns
• Leverage AI-assisted coding to accelerate development and enhance quality
• Work in an agile, high-performing team, contributing to sprint planning, code reviews, and design discussions
• Write clean, testable code with tools like JUnit, Robolectric, and Espresso
• Mentor junior developers and help set the standard for best practices
• Stay ahead of the curve by exploring new Android SDK components and emerging technologies

What You Bring

• At least 2+ years developing native Android apps
• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin (2+ yrs) and Java (3+ yrs)
• Deep understanding of OOP, Android architecture, and design patterns (MVVM, etc.)
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and a collaborative mindset
• Excellent communication skills — you can explain complex technical ideas clearly and confidently

Bonus Points For

• Experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and Material Design
• Familiarity with OAuth/OpenID and Android Keystore security
• Building apps with accessibility and user experience in mind
