About The Role

We are seeking a talented and adventurous Fullstack Software Engineer. You’ll work closely with the CTO and other engineers to build and shape key features. We are detail-oriented and value clean, modular, and high-performing code. There are no playbooks or precedence to what we are building, so you will need to be extremely comfortable with ambiguity and creating something completely new using unconventional and untried methods. Your ability to learn quickly will also be key to your success.

Company Description 

Nika is a next-gen geospatial analysis cloud platform. Using cloud architecture and Generative AI, we aim to build the world’s most powerful Web App allowing users to code, analyse, collaborate, visualise and scale their spatial workloads – all in one platform. If successful, this puts us in direct competition with the likes of Esri, to become the most widely used software provider for spatial analysis, especially in nature fields. Through this, we wish to create the most amount of indirect impact on fighting climate change by channeling resources to the most deserved areas.

Responsibilities 

• Build new features for backend and frontend (Python, SQL, REST, TypeScript + NextJS/ReactJS framework + Cloud services e.g. AWS)
• Maintain the current platform features for both hosted and client environments.
• Deploy certain solutions into the client’s cloud environment

Project scope shall not be limited to the above. It may encompass other related tasks needed for the project/role assigned by the Company.

Requirements

• At least 1 industrial experience in software engineering/intern role before this
• Undergraduate and above, focused in computing related majors
