We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager, IT Applications to lead and manage business systems technology initiatives from start to finish. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in project management methodologies, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The role also includes overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of business application systems.

Scope of Work

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT business application systems.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of project management, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables, as well as managing project budgets and timelines in accordance with requirements.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor project timelines and milestones to ensure effective execution.
• Communicate project expectations clearly and effectively to users and stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including related communications, documentation, and deliverables.
• Collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to support both new and existing business application systems.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement to enhance reliability, availability, and efficiency of application systems.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and implement measures to align business systems with these standards.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations and support of business application systems.
• Support the IT Manager in strategic planning and budget allocation for business systems and projects.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Support and facilitate internal and external IT audits.
• Manage vendor relationships, including procurement and contract administration for business systems.
• Provide leadership and mentorship, fostering professional growth and skill development within the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT project management preferably in application development, networking, cloud computing and cybersecurity.
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to respond quickly to address issues and technical challenges.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills in translating technical requirements into business solutions.
• Excellent report writing and communication abilities.
• Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget and timeline.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification (preferred)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, cybersecurity and enterprise systems.
