About the Firm:
Our client is a reputable multi-strategy hedge fund. They are seeking a detail-oriented and market-savvy Data Analyst to join their New York team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of the U.S. equity market and listed companies, along with a disciplined approach to data accuracy and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the firm’s equity database, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Collect, validate, and organize financial and market data from multiple sources.
- Monitor and track key metrics and corporate actions of U.S.-listed companies.
- Support the investment and research teams with data-driven insights and ad-hoc analyses.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency and reliability of equity data.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience as a data analyst, preferably within buy-side, sell-side, or financial data providers.
- Strong understanding of U.S. equity markets and listed company fundamentals.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and managing ongoing data processes.
- Basic programming skills in Python, including data cleaning and simple automation tasks.
- Familiarity with data tools such as SQL, Power BI, or Bloomberg Terminal.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage large datasets efficiently.
