About the job
Pacific International is partnering with a global leader in the semiconductor industry for a VP of Engineering. This is a high-impact leadership role driving global New Product Introduction (NPI) across pump and valve technologies.
You will lead the creation of world-class product platforms and solutions that set new standards for performance, efficiency, and sustainability. You will ensure that innovation translates into measurable market advantage, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality. This role requires a visionary engineering leader with the ability to align technology strategy to customer needs, manage complex global teams, and deliver differentiated solutions that expand market share.
You will be leading large direct and indirect teams, with sites across the globe. The ideal candidate has experience working across Europe and Asia.
Responsibilities
- Lead and sponsor core technology development programs that align and meet future customer requirements.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration between Applications, Product Management, Technology, and Engineering to deliver the product roadmap.
- Oversee development of derivative products leveraging existing platforms.
- Achieve challenging cost and performance targets through value engineering, detailed cost analysis, and supply chain optimization.
- Champion energy efficiency and environmental performance, positioning products as market leaders in sustainability.
- Build and scale a global technical support network, enabling faster issue resolution and reduced warranty costs.
Requirements
- Degree Level or higher in Science or Engineering
- 10-15 years’ leadership experience in the semiconductor industry, including at least 5 years in a strategic executive role
- Ability to manage complex global project portfolio and deliver to market
- Strong understanding of semiconductor processes and chemistry
- Track record of leading diverse, multicultural teams across multiple regions
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across EMEA and Asia
- Fluency in English, additional Asian languages is an advantage
