Job Description

As a (Senior) Backend Developer in our Checkout & Order Services team, you will:

  • Contribute to the development of our international e-commerce platform through backend services
  • Design and develop APIs that power customer touchpoints (Web, App) for shopping and self-service experiences.
  • Work on key business domains such as payment, loyalty and pricing, helping shape critical customer and operational processes.
  • Ensure long-term usability and scalability of our IT systems through thoughtful software architecture and performance optimizations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary agile teams to solve complex challenges and deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

  • Profound completed education in the field of IT/software-development with proven experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Java/Kotlin, Spring (Boot) and software architecture
  • Proficiency with HTTP and event-based APIs
  • Experience with Microservices, Docker (Kubernetes), CI/CD (Gitlab), Kafka
  • Independent, structured and reliable working method
  • Conceptual and analytical skills with attention to details
  • A team player that likes to share and discuss ideas
  • Fluent English skills, German is a plus
