We’re working with an established MedTech company based in Antwerp that’s using data and AI to advance healthcare diagnostics and patient outcomes. Their platform combines clinical expertise with modern analytics to help medical professionals make faster, more accurate decisions.
As a Data Scientist, you’ll be part of a cross-functional R&D team developing intelligent algorithms that extract meaningful insights from complex medical and sensor data. You’ll play a key role in building predictive and diagnostic models that support next-generation medical devices and digital health solutions.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and validate machine learning and statistical models for healthcare applications.
• Work with large and sensitive datasets - from clinical measurements to imaging and sensor streams - ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, data engineers, and clinicians to translate research into production-ready insights.
• Apply advanced analytics and explainable AI techniques to support evidence-based decision-making.
• Contribute to continuous model improvement, experimentation, and MLOps workflows.
Your Profile
• Solid experience with Python and data science libraries (Pandas, Scikit-learn, NumPy, etc.).
• Hands-on expertise in machine learning and familiarity with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow or PyTorch).
• Experience working with healthcare or biomedical data (e.g., imaging, sensors, EHRs) is a major advantage.
• Strong understanding of statistics, feature engineering, and data validation techniques.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills and mindset for working in multidisciplinary teams.
