INATBA is strengthening its presence in Brussels and looking for a Senior Policy Officer with a deep understanding of the EU institutional environment. You’ll lead INATBA’s engagement with policymakers and key stakeholders, ensuring the association’s voice is effectively represented in European and global policy dialogues on blockchain and emerging technologies.

About INATBA

The International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA) brings together industry leaders, policymakers, regulators, and academics to promote trust and transparency in the global blockchain and digital trust ecosystem.

Headquartered in Brussels, INATBA acts as a bridge between innovators and decision-makers, facilitating dialogue, shaping responsible policy frameworks, and supporting the adoption of decentralised technologies across sectors.

The Opportunity

Do you thrive at the intersection of technology, policy, and innovation?

We are looking for a Senior Policy Officer to strengthen INATBA’s voice within the European policy ecosystem.

You will be based in Brussels, representing INATBA in the EU institutional landscape, coordinating engagement activities, and ensuring a consistent and credible presence across key policy dialogues and events.

Part of your time will also be dedicated to supporting INATBA’s participation in a major EU-funded innovation initiative bridging blockchain-based FinTech innovation, tokenisation and European industries, ensuring that our policy perspectives and stakeholder relations are effectively represented in the consortium context.

This position is ideal for someone who combines policy expertise, strategic thinking, and operational drive — someone who enjoys both shaping ideas and making them happen.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as INATBA’s main liaison with EU institutions, policymakers, and Brussels-based stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyse EU regulatory and legislative developments relevant to blockchain, digital identity, AI, and emerging technologies.
  • Coordinate and deliver Brussels-based policy activities, including public events, working groups, and institutional roundtables.
  • Support the preparation of position papers, policy briefs, and strategic communications for external stakeholders.
  • Represent INATBA at key EU-level meetings, conferences, and industry forums.
  • Facilitate bilateral meetings and engagement opportunities between INATBA members and EU officials.
  • Support INATBA’s operations and growth, including stakeholder engagement, relationship-building with partners, and membership expansion initiatives, as part of INATBA’s steering team.

Who you are

  • You’re based in Brussels (or willing to relocate) and have a strong understanding of the EU institutional and stakeholder landscape.
  • You have 7+ years of track recordexperience in EU policy, public affairs, or regulatory engagement — ideally within the technology, digital innovation, or sustainability sectors.
  • You’re comfortable representing an organization in high-level policy environments, with strong communication and networking skills.
  • You combine strategic vision with hands-on execution — able to both design initiatives and coordinate their implementation.
  • You’re proactive, highly organized, and enjoy working in a small, mission-driven international team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English is required; French is an advantage, as well as any other EU official languages.
  • Deep Knowledge of EU funding programmes, innovation ecosystems, or association management is a plus.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to shape the European and global blockchain policy dialogue at the highest level.
  • A flexible, international, and mission-driven environment.
  • Exposure to policymakers, innovators, and industry leaders across the EU.
  • The chance to grow within a globally recognized non-profit association working at the forefront of digital trust and decentralisation.
  • Hybrid working possibilities (Brussels presence required for events and meetings).
