Team
Our Gaming team is made up of hybrid-casual, casual, and mid-core experts. Our 'Core' games team supports internal and external studios worldwide in creating, developing, and launching new hit games, whilst our 'Live' games team focuses on delivering higher engagement on our existing and successful games.
Joining our Live games team means collaborating with gaming industry experts on globally renowned, enduring games while embracing exciting new entrepreneurial ventures. You will be joining one of our Live Studios, working on Hole.io.
Role
We are looking for a talented Tools Developer with a strong understanding of the mobile game development pipeline to help our teams deliver fun, innovative, and entertaining games. You will design, build, and maintain the essential tools and systems that our game teams (developers, designers, artists, and QA) use every day.
- Develop and maintain robust, high-quality tools supporting multiple disciplines, including game design, art, engineering, and QA.
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable code in C# and other scripting languages.
- Support and improve our CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
- Collaborate with Game Designers, Tech Artists, Engineers, and QA to identify bottlenecks and create tools to solve them.
- Support and contribute new ideas to improve team workflows and efficiency.
Profile
- Experience: 5+ years as a Developer in the mobile gaming industry or adjacent
- A creative and hacker mindset.
- Advanced proficiency in C#.
- Proficiency in at least one other scripting language (e.g., Python, Lua).
- Experience in developing tools, editor extensions (e.g., for Unity), and automation scripts.
- A good understanding of interdisciplinary game development workflows and pipelines (design, art, engineering, QA).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Gitlab CI) would be a plus.
- Experience with backend technologies would be a plus.
- Skilled in identifying performance bottlenecks and implementing optimizations.
- Good sense of user experience (for internal tools) and special attention to details.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to gather requirements from and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders (Designers, Artists, QA).
