Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Security Specialist (A4 Level) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of IT security processes, managing security inquiries, and driving continuous improvement in line with ISO 27001 and IT-Grundschutz standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and track quality assurance measures for IT security processes.
• Independently classify, validate (ISMS compliance), and process IT security inquiries.
• Develop work packages based on IT-Grundschutz and ISO 27001 frameworks and manage them via ticketing systems.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and professional presentations.
• Maintain and enhance the existing Security Management Enquiry System, covering:
• Guideline / Control Management
• IT Risk Management
• IT Security Service & Support
• Coordinate and lead regular national and international meetings focused on IT security topics.
• Develop and optimize IT security support processes across global teams.
• Draft and implement ISMS-related guidelines and controls in accordance with ISO 27001 and other regulatory requirements.
• Collect and analyze KPIs within the Internal Control System (ICS) framework.
• Independently track and manage corrective measures in case of deviations.
• Compile and maintain IT security KPI reports and derive actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Professional Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT Service Management.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in IT system operations or IT security.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across all organizational levels, both nationally and internationally.
• Solid understanding of technical and functional solutions in IT control centers.
• Familiarity with IT operations processes and activities.
• Proven experience in setting up and managing action tracking systems.

Certifications

• ITIL Foundation Certification (minimum ITIL v3)
• PRINCE2 Certification
• Certified ISMS Training in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001

Project Management Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in sub-project management.
• Ideally holds a Junior Project Management Certification.
• Experience in technical project management is a plus.
• Successfully delivered at least one IT security or infrastructure project (~30 person-days).
• Familiarity with project structures and JIRA boards.
