Position Summary:

Discovery is looking for a talented and passionate (Senior) Project Manager to join our dynamic clinical trial team. As a (Senior) Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role discussing and consulting our customer’s needs and managing these needs at our clinical trial laboratory in Kassel, Germany. You will take responsibility over the whole life span of multiple projects interacting with pharma, CROs, hospitals in a very appreciative international setting. Attitude, project and social responsibility are key for this position.

Position Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience):

• Master’s Degree in molecular biology or similar with at least 2 years of industry experience or PhD in natural sciences
• Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills (English and German)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments and resolve complex problems
• Keen attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures
  
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in a project management team. Take responsibility over customers and projects, help others when needed, act as vacation replacement for team members
• Show flexibility, be empathic and adapt to new requirements as you are bringing together many different people and needs
• Set-up projects according to SOPs (incl. cost calculation and resource planning) coordinate design and review critical documents
• Coordinate internal resources and external partners for the flawless execution of projects
• Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget as agreed with the customer
• Be the main contact (internal and external) in regards to all project specific questions; incl. preparation and realization of project meetings
• Use software applications to monitor project performance and manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs (Microsoft Office, Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software)
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Data management: Set-up projects in LIMS based database including product specifications, electronic workflows and data transfers in cooperation with IT. Set-up data transfer specifications with customer. Execute data transfers to customer.
• Create and approve invoices of managed projects
• Establish and maintain relationships with existing and new customers / third parties (e-mail, conference calls and official journeys or delegations)
• Prepare and develop relevant SOPs
