In this role you will be responsible for:
• Support budget planning, project management, and compliance with service management processes, including cost-saving and optimisation opportunities.
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise network solutions, including system updates, configurations, and troubleshooting (2nd & 3rd level).
• Oversee network infrastructure operations, including documentation, vendor management, and collaboration with third-party manufacturers for problem analysis and escalation.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies while enhancing existing hardware and software systems.
• Provide consulting, sub-project management, and support for global network administration and strategy development.
This role is hybrid in North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse or Lower Saxony 50% of the time
Essential:
• Professional experience in a similar role
• Project management experience
• Firewall knowledge
• Analysis and evaluation of user requirements and implementation in the product
• Switching / Routing (OSPF, LWL, WAN, LAN, WLAN)
• DMZ services
• Monitoring (PRTG)
• Networking IPv4, IPv6, DHCP, DNS, etc.
• Manufacturer-specific knowledge (Fortinet, Extreme Networks, Cisco)
• Minimum C1 level German with good knowledge of English
Desirable:
• Relevant certs from solutions such as Fortinet, Cisco and Meraki
