For our client – a full-service IT company from East Westphalia specializing in global connectivity solutions, IT systems, and M2M services – we are looking for a Network Administrator (m/f/d) to join their growing team.


Responsibilities:

  • Administration and support of complex IT infrastructures
  • Implementation and configuration of network components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Troubleshooting and optimization of network performance
  • Monitoring network security and implementing security measures
  • Providing user support and conducting training sessions
  • Documentation and reporting of network projects

Requirements:

  • Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker), a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification
  • Several years of experience in network administration and related areas
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewalling
  • Hands-on experience with Sophos firewalls, ideally supported by certifications (e.g., Certified Administrator Firewall, Certified Architect Firewall)
  • Desirable: experience with HPE Aruba, Mikrotik, and Fortinet products
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Proxmox
  • Knowledge of MS SQL, MS SharePoint, MS Azure, M365, Active Directory, Exchange, and RDS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-reliant work style
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Fluent in German, with good English skills
  • Willingness to occasionally work weekends or internationally on projects
