Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager / Business Analyst with a strong technical background to lead, coordinate, and deliver multiple client-focused IT projects for a major financial organization in Luxembourg.

The ideal candidate will combine hands-on development experience, business analysis expertise, and proven leadership in managing software development teams. This role requires excellent stakeholder engagement skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to bridge communication between business users and technical teams within a complex, multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage multiple concurrent IT projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring scope, timelines, and budgets are met.
    • Supervise and coordinate a team of developers, providing direction, motivation, and technical oversight.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into actionable development tasks.
    • Conduct business analysis activities including requirements gathering, documentation, and validation with end users.
    • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, environment setup, and deployment.
    • Challenge and support developers, ensuring code quality, adherence to best practices, and timely delivery.
    • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and budgets using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
    • Prepare and deliver clear, concise project status reports and presentations for management and clients.
    • Foster a collaborative, agile working environment, driving continuous improvement across teams.
    • Promote solution-oriented thinking and accountability within project teams.


Key Qualifications & Experience

    • 7–10 years of experience in IT project management and/or business analysis within software development environments.
    • Strong technical foundation, ideally with a background as a software developer or engineer.
    • Proven ability to lead and manage teams of developers in complex, cross-functional projects.
    • Deep understanding of IT project lifecycles, including system integration, testing, and deployment.
    • Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
    • Experience working in multinational, regulated environments, preferably in financial services.
    • Knowledge of Luxembourg’s financial sector, including investment funds and CSSF regulations, is highly desirable.
    • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills — able to engage confidently with senior business and IT leaders.
    • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and PowerPoint.


Education & Certifications

    • Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required.
    • Project Management and Business Analysis certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Agile, CBAP) are a strong advantage.


Languages

    • English: Fluent (required for all communications and interviews).
    • French: Strongly preferred, given team composition (French and Belgian developers).
