SYMSON started as a spin-off from the Erasmus University Rotterdam to empower organisations to learn at high speed. A team guided by Prof. dr. Felix Janszen, started to translate scientific knowledge into practical solutions for businesses. Are you our next Data Science Intern?

Are you eager to learn? Can you work independently just as well as you can work with a team? And do you have an affinity for pricing and economics? Then you’re exactly what we’re looking for!

We are looking for a Data Science Intern to join our SYMSON team who will help us to analyse product performance to recommend the best pricing strategies for our customers. In this role, you will work on strategic initiatives as well as support the Data Analytics team and product team to optimise opportunities for sustainable growth. What you'll do:

• Assist in projects that help the users of SYMSON create more value with pricing 
• Assist in creating pricing algorithms & genAI solutions
• Proactively look for commercial opportunities to answer key questions about our customers with data that will drive the business forward
• Collecting key findings on analysis and present them 

 We’re looking for a Data Science Intern with:

• Background in Economics, Econometrics, Business Information Management or Marketing Analytics 
• Affinity with (Micro) Economics and Pricing 
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Proficiency in SQL, Python and Google Sheets/Excel
• Experienced working with BI tools 
• Collaborative with good communication skills
• Professional English language skills
