The Role:

This is a hands-on development role focused on building high-performance, accessible, and scalable web applications. You’ll work in a fast-paced, agile environment, rapidly prototyping and delivering production-ready solutions that make a real impact

Area of Responsibility

• Develop and maintain consumer-facing and internal web applications using modern frontend technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement end-to-end digital experiences.
• Rapidly prototype new concepts and iterate based on feedback.
• Ensure applications are optimized for performance, accessibility, and SEO.
• Lead and support technical decisions within the team, promoting best practices in software development.
• Integrate with headless CMS and cloud services to deliver scalable solutions.
• Contribute to the evolution of frameworks and tools used across Volvo’s digital ecosystem

Knowledge / Experience

• Expert-level proficiency in:
• JavaScript
• HTML & CSS
• React.js
• TypeScript
• Next.js
• Strong experience with:
• SEO optimization techniques
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Building accessible and performant websites
• Headless content management systems
• Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA)
• Proven ability to work in agile environments and contribute to team-wide technical decisions.
• Experience in start-up or fast-paced environments is highly desirable.
