Do you want to take the lead in building the QA structure where quality really matters?
Paf are now looking for a QA Engineer - a role where you will have great responsibility, freedom, and the chance to shape how we work with testing in our payment solutions.

Paf stands out from other gaming companies in the market! Not just because of what we do, but why we do it. We were founded by the Red Cross, Save the Children, Public Health on Åland, and the foundation Dagens Barn, and our mission from day one has been to generate funds for the benefit of society. At Paf, we build entertainment with care. Our mission is to create safe, fun gaming experiences - and we take pride in doing things the right way.

We’re proud to be an award-winning industry leader in responsible gaming, raising the bar and setting new standards that put players first. All our profit goes to charity, and we strive for a long-term sustainable business that care about our employees, customers, and society at large.

We’re now looking for a QA Engineer to take the lead in how we work with testing and quality across our payment platform. It’s a role with great responsibility, freedom, and the opportunity to build something that truly makes a difference, both for our teams and for our players.

The Role

As our QA Engineer, you will be the one driving quality assurance in our Payment team, ensuring our payment solutions are reliable, compliant, and smooth for users worldwide. You’ll combine hands-on testing expertise with operational understanding. We already have talented developers in place, but we need your expertise to ensure efficient and structured testing processes as we scale.

You'll step into a truly collaborative environment where talented developers and product experts team up to create high-quality solutions that make a difference. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking culture that thrives on curiosity, learning, and trust — where taking responsibility and exploring new ideas is not just encouraged, but celebrated.

Your work will touch both the technical and the strategic side of QA - from building structures and frameworks, to improving automation, to validating integrations with banks and payment providers.

You will:

  • Develop and execute test plans and perform end-to-end validation of payment flows and integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Configure and maintain payment provider connections, routing rules, and transaction settings.
  • Monitor and analyse transactions to identify issues and improve reliability.
  • Drive test automation for mobile (iOS/Android) and web and improve frameworks and QA processes across teams.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and product experts to raise overall QA maturity and streamline workflows.

In short - you’ll be the one setting the standard for quality at Paf within payments and help shape how we work with QA across the organization.

Who You Are

We believe you have at least around 5 years of experience in QA and testing, preferably in fintech, e-commerce, or other transaction-heavy environments. You are experienced in both manual testing and automation, and you enjoy building new structures from the ground up.

We think you bring:

  • A university degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, and defect management.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools.
  • Familiarity with APIs, log analysis, and debugging.
  • A structured way of working and the ability to set up processes across teams.
  • Strong communication skills - you like to collaborate closely with developers and technical leads.
  • (Bonus) Experience with scripting or setting up automated test frameworks.

Swedish is not required - English works perfectly in our teams.
