About the assignment

The client is modernizing its data platform to create a future-proof foundation. Their current on-premise data lake, built on Cloudera-supported Apache technologies (Spark, NiFi, Airflow), needs to be updated to meet new compliance and regulatory requirements.

The client is seeking a skilled consultant to support the migration to a cloud-native architecture on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The target architecture will leverage containerization, managed services such as Dataproc, and infrastructure-as-code practices.

As part of the team, you will contribute directly to delivery. The tech stack is currently managed exclusively within the DataOps DCA Tribe, making your role key to building a sustainable and compliant platform for the future.

Requirements

• Apache Spark
• Cloud experience
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• CI/CD pipelines
• Python, SQL
• Database management and ETL processes

On-Premise Stack Experience:

• Apache NiFi
• Apache Airflow
• Cloudera ecosystem
• Scala (strong bonus, especially for Spark; Python also possible)

Cloud & Modern Stack Experience:

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially Dataproc
• Observability and monitoring tools
• YAML, Linux, Windows
• GCP Event Hubs, Elasticsearch, Kibana
• Command-line interface (CLI) proficiency

Preferred soft skills

• Flexibility
• Strong English communication skills (Swedish is a plus)
• Delivery-oriented mindset

Location: Stockholm, Sweden (Hybrid – office and home)

Experience: 4–8 years

Language Skills: English required; Swedish is a plus
