What You Will Do
We are seeking a motivated, collaborative, and committed professional to join our Global Network Operations team as a Network Engineer Tier III / Team Lead. This role offers the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team within a growing managed services organization, with scope to develop your skills across a broad range of technologies and services.
You will serve as a Tier III Network Engineer and lead a Network Operations Engineering Team, supporting large-scale enterprise network infrastructure across multiple customers.
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and design technical solutions that enhance productivity and service delivery. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and excellent communication skills. We’re looking for someone who challenges the status quo and believes in the power of technology to drive progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain a multi-vendor, multi-protocol enterprise network.
- Support and maintain large-scale infrastructure including routers, switches, servers, and network management software.
- Act as a subject matter expert for escalations and oversee resolution of complex network issues.
- Respond to network alerts and conduct root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with telecom providers to resolve circuit-related issues.
- Work with vendors to troubleshoot configuration, hardware, and software issues.
- Provide day-to-day support for enterprise network solutions.
- Analyze network events and outages to identify resolutions and service improvements.
- Troubleshoot SD-WAN and Wi-Fi issues.
- Support Cisco DNAC (Catalyst Center).
- Contribute to network projects across business units.
- Create and maintain network documentation.
- Mentor team members and support their development.
- Participate in performance reviews.
- Manage team workload and daily operations.
- Engage in escalations from team members and customers.
- Typical working hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with occasional out-of-hours work.
- Travel may be required up to 25%.
- Cisco CCNP certification (or equivalent) required.
- Advanced knowledge of network architecture, routing/switching protocols, security, and design.
- Proven ability to resolve complex network issues using advanced diagnostic techniques.
- 5+ years of experience with Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing protocols.
- Experience with vendors such as Cisco, HP, Aruba, Juniper, and Arista.
- Strong understanding of enterprise network design and ITSM best practices.
- Expertise in technologies including RSTP/MSTP, VLAN, VTP, ARP, OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, UDP, NDP, VxLAN, VRRP, EtherChannel.
- Familiarity with application-level protocols: SNMP, Telnet, FTP, HTTP/S, DHCP/v6, DNS, 802.1x, IPsec.
- Strong Wi-Fi design and troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot routing/switching equipment.
- Experience managing team workload and meeting SLAs.
- Experience with SDN and SD-WAN deployments is a plus.
- Proficiency in Linux; scripting experience is a bonus.
- Experience with IPv4/IPv6 dual stack is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments with minimal supervision.
- Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE, or specialized certifications in network security or cloud networking.
- Experience with Python and Bash scripting.
- Global enterprise experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Proven organizational and mentoring skills.
- Fluency in spoken and written English preferred.
