Position: Data Scientist ➡️ Marketplace Optimization 🧠 📈

We’re looking for an ambitious Data Scientist who will:

👉🏻 dive deep into our data,

👉🏻 uncover actionable insights, and – together with our Product Team…

🎯 What will you do?

Your Mission Will Be To:

  • explore & analyze large datasets to spot patterns, trends and actionable insights
  • design & implement data-driven tools & algorithms in collaboration with the Product team
  • provide ongoing analytics to support business & product decisions
  • develop predictive models & recommendation systems for marketplace optimization
  • translate complex data into clear insights for business & technical teams

In Practice, You Will:

  • build & iterate recommendation systems 👉🏻 to improve CTR/CVR & revenue per session
  • design pricing & price-competitiveness models 👉🏻 dynamic pricing, margin guardrails & promo strategy
  • create forecasting & demand-supply insights 👉🏻 to reduce stock-outs and dead stock
  • detect anomalies & fraud 👉🏻 suspicious listings or abnormal conversions
  • partner with Product & Engineering Teams to take models from prototype to production (AB tests, monitoring, retraining)
  • build lean BI assets (dashboards/metrics) enabling self-serve decisions for Commercial & Operations Teams
  • translate complex findings into clear, actionable narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Example projects you might work on upon joining…

  • „Next Product to Buy” 👉🏻 a recommendation engine suggesting attractive offers to users based on:
    • their purchase history,
    • behavior of similar users,
    • current trending offers on the platform.
  • „Pricing Analysis Tool” 👉🏻 an analytics module for our merchants showing:
    • which of their offers are competitively priced,
    • where they could improve margins by adjusting prices,
    • which products are underperforming and why.
📌 Requirements

Must Have:

Ideally, you'll bring with you:

  • solid experience as a Data Scientist / Data Analyst
    • ideally 👉🏻 in marketplaces, B2B platform or e-commerce environments
  • proven experience building recommendation systems, pricing models, or similar applied analytics deployed to real users
  • ability to work hands-on with relational databases and large datasets
  • strong problem-solving skills
  • self-driven, business-oriented & entrepreneurial mindset 🚀
  • proficiency in English 👉🏻 C1 is a must! 🇬🇧


Nice-to-have:

  • strong knowledge of cloud data infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • familiarity with BI tools
